The Camino de Santiago, or Way of St. James, is a Medieval pilgrimage to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in NW Spain.

Today the ‘Camino’ is a unique experience attracting thousands of hikers from all over the World, and is now listed by UNESCO World Heritage for its role in encouraging cultural exchanges.

Our 'Virtual Camino Challenge' mirrors the popular ‘Frances’ (French) trail, which is 769 km end to end, and starts in the Pyrenean foothills in the French Basque region at Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port.

Wherever you actually start – choose your Challenge – take it on anywhere, anytime throughout March – including treadmills, your daily exercise allocation, trips to the shops, or even to your local church if you need some inspiration.
