Virtual Offa's Dyke Challenge
Take on the Historic Offa’s Dyke!
3 Distance Options
Walk, Jog, or Run anywhere, anytime in November and share Your Journey on our Virtual Map
Back in the 8th Century things were a bit different than currently, and it was the Anglo Saxon King Offa of Mercia who wanted to keep the Welsh out of England, and decided to built an earthworks ‘dyke’ to ensure they stayed to the west.
Today the Offa’s Dyke Path, a National Trail, starts near Chepstow and finishes at Prestatyn on the coast, passing through a variety of landscapes, from the Wye Valley, the Black Mountains, to the Clwydian Hills in the north – and is a fantastic setting for our November ‘Virtual Challenge’.
The Full Dyke Challenge option is 285 km if you are up for it – with Half & Quarter Dyke options also available.
Choose your challenge – take it on anywhere, anytime – log your progress on our ‘virtual map’ – and share your journey and story online with others as you head north.
There’s a special ‘Offa’s Dyke’ medal & neck buff for all challengers.
