Round Reading Virtual Challenge

A fundraiser for the East Berkshire Green Party.

Take on our virtual challenge based on the 100-mile Round Reading trail route for some motivation to get outside and get moving to beat the Winter blues.

The real-world route takes in Windsor Castle, Ascot, Odiham Castle, Henley and the Thames Path and many of the best trails in the area.

We're starting from the 1st March and we're giving you two months until the 30the April to complete your challenge.

You don't have to take on the full 100-mile route; there are also 100km (62 miles) and 50km (31 miles) alternatives so that works out at roughly 1.5, 1 or half a mile a day on average.

All routes finish at Windsor Castle

How Does It Work?

You can take part whenever and wherever you are - you don't have to actually cover the trail route, although why not if it's local to you!?

All of your on-foot or by bike miles count.  Log them on our map and we'll plot your progress live.

You can record your miles manually or if you have Strava, Garmin or Fitbit then you can simply connect one of those services to your UltraBritain account and we'll collect your activities automatically.  NB We can only view activities that are set to public on those services.

You can take part as a team if you wish - all your team's miles will be combined and put towards your goal.

AWARDS

If you would like to commemorate your achievement you can optionally add a medal to your order - our medals are made from 100% recyclable aluminium.

You can also add a CO2-absorbing tree from Trees Not Trees.  They will plant a tree on your behalf in their managed forests in Scotland, and send you a certiicate featuring a photo of your sapling together with its precise location.

Why take part

Virtual challenges are a great way to motivate you to get exercise, especially in the winter months when it's easier to remain on the couch!

Funds from this event will support local Green Party candidates in the upcoming general election campaign so this is a great way to help out.
