It can be hard to motivate ourselves to get outside during the winter, what with it being cold, dark and wet. However, here at WILD we believe that getting outside and moving our bodies, whatever the season, can work wonders for our mental and physical health.

As such as have developed the Give Back To The Planet WILD Nature Advent Challenge with the aim of inspiring you to get outside and connect with nature on a daily basis for the duration of advent.

For each new day all you have to do is take a picture of something in nature that catches your eye; this could be a colourful autumnal leaf, a frosty sunrise, or a slimy mushroom. Whatever it is, take a quick picture on your phone (don't be afraid to get creative!), then upload it onto our advent calendar on the same day.

If you complete a full week you will automatically be entered into our prize draw with the chance of winning one of two prizes, either a personalised Christmas card signed by Abbie, or a 30 minute 1-1 online chat with Abbie.

If you complete the full advent challenge you will be entered into the main draw with the chance of winning a big Christmas prize, which will only be revealed nearer the draw date.

Perhaps the best thing though is that for every entrant to our event we will be planting a tree to help offset some of the carbon dioxide produced over the Christmas period. With more cars on the road as people travel to shops and visit family members, we wanted to give something back to nature, and as such have teamed up with Trees Not Tees to help plant new trees in the Scottish Highlands.

Trees Not Tees will plant a tree for you - a native species of Oak, Rowan, Birch or Alder and will send you a certificate via email with a picture of your young tree, details of the species and the what3words geolocation of your specific tree!
