Welcome to Yacht Washington DC's Virtual Event.

You can be part of this amazing round the world challenge that our crew from around the world are taking part in skippered by Hannah Brewis. Whilst the sailors will be fighting big seas, high winds, no winds, and the challenges of living on board a racing yacht with 20 other people you can join the journey and help raise money for the Clipper Round The World yacht Race official charity Unicef.

Neil is racing on leg 5 from Airlie Beach in Australia to Halong Bay in Vietnam and then to Zuhai in China.
We will be trying to beat Neil and team Washington DC to complete the 6000 mile leg and raise money for Unicef, which is greatly needed in the world at the moment.

How can you do this?

Easy. You enter the event, pay your entry and donate to Unicef (if you would like). Then you can walk, run, cycle, paddle board, swim, canoe - basically anything physical where you are covering a distance. Your distance will either be logged automatically from your Strava, Fitbit or Garmin on the leaderboard, or you can enter it manually.

Every mile counts and everyone can take part. Young or old, fit or unfit, where ever you are in the world. All you have to do is get out and log your miles.

On the event page we will have a live moving map (much like the one on Race Viewer in the Clipper website), and this will track how we are doing. So every mile you log will move us further along the track.

The map will follow the race rhumb line.
