The Marathon Talk Run Camp caters for all runners, yes, that's everyone, and means you too.

When - Friday, February 21st / Saturday 22nd / Sunday 23rd 2020.
Where - Mount Cook Adventure Centre, Porter Ln, Middleton-by-Wirksworth, Matlock, DE4 4LS
How much - £185.00* per person (+ booking fee)

What will we do?

Running
You can do as much or as little running as you like whilst with us over the weekend. There’s no pressure to join in with everything and anything you do can be done at your own level of fitness and mojo!

Saturday

In the morning it's customary for us to be parkrun tourists and pop along to one of the local parkruns - this year we'll be heading to Bakewell parkrun. 

We’ll have a workshop or talk early afternoon followed by a group coached run on the wonderful High Peak Trail that passes right by the Mount Cook Adventure Centre.

Sunday 
Once again we've organised to participate in the Carsington Water Half Marathon! 

Organisers have given Marathon Talk run campers a 20% discount on entry fee to the half marathon so we're all going to get stuck in! (Don't worry, there is also a 10k if that's more your thing).

Eating

This year we've gone full board at the Mount Cook Adventure Centre.

If you're a hungry type please bring your own additional snacks! 

There is a licensed bar on site that will be available for Run Campers!

Accommodation

We are taking over the entire Mount Cook Adventure Centre for the weekend so will have all of the centre's excellent facilities to ourselves. (yes, even the zip wire!).

All rooms are ensuite 'bunk style' and on a single sex shared basis (max 4 persons). 

On booking you can request to share with your friends and we'll do our best to help. 

There are no double bedrooms available. There is also not a single supplement available (don't worry, we're all friendly!). If you're a couple and would like a 4 person room please let us know on booking. There is an additional £25pp charge for this. This may not be possible and we will do our best on a first come first served basis.

Special Guest! 

Each year we invite a special guest for a Saturday evening talk. We're not sure who that will be yet - but it'll be amazing for sure!

We'll also have the infamous Marathon Talk Saturday Quiz night with Tony's Trials!

It does sell out pretty quickly so if you want to come and have a great weekend of running and laughing with like-minded, friendly people then please book soon!

Notes
Please advise on booking if you are coming as a group and we'll do our best (but it might not always be possible!) to put you in the same rooms or rooms close together. If you're coming on your own, that's just fine too.  We look after everyone.
